Samsung Galaxy S3 Series USB Connection Problem

Posted by Andro New Phone on Saturday 25 February 2017

Most Common and Irritating Problem with the Galaxy SIII Lte I9305 is connecting it with PC via USB Cable to transfer the data from and in Phone. It connects as a Qualcomm Device instead of Samsung and does not load the drivers on any Operating System from XP to Windows 8.

It neither shows USB Settings in Settings nor notifies of a USB connection in Notification bar.  But the strange thing is when you connect it to ODIN in download mode it not only gets connected but also gets flashed with the firmware you want it to run. the problem only occurs when you try to connect it as media storage or Camera with the Pc.

To solve this issue dial *#7284# from your the phone dial pad

a new windows will appear

Select Qualcomm USB Settings to open the USB settings menu

whatever the settings are change them to MTP or MTP+ADB like following pic

Click OK to go back to previous screen.

Now Select both UART and USB to PDA

and Click on SAVE and RESET.
The Phone will reset and restart. Connect the USB Cable and you are done with the Media Storage settings.

*Don't forget to save your phone data to MicroSD before doing this process
